William Cotter died on 18th October, 1914, after having been sent back to a base hospital on the coast but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded or captured. The 1st East Kent (Buffs) battalion was part of 16 Brigade, 6th Division that had landed in France in September 1914 and had then been involved in the Battle of the Aisne. |
